The NovaMind Story

You just joined NovaMind, a Series A AI startup. Lara, the CTO, runs the standup. Atlas, your AI coding assistant, writes code faster than anyone , but sometimes introduces subtle bugs. Nova, the data analyst, tracks everything. And The Board? They want results. Ship features, manage flow, control costs, and prove your team can deliver.

Meet Your Team

Lara

CTO

The CTO. Demanding but fair. She's built two startups and knows that finishing beats starting.

Atlas

AI Coder

AI Coding Assistant. Brilliant but unpredictable. Supercharges your work , or introduces subtle bugs.

Nova

Data Analyst

Data Analyst AI. Sees patterns everywhere. Tracks metrics, warns about trends, celebrates wins.

The Board

Investors

Series A Investors. They appear on launch days. They want shipped features, not promises.

How It Works

Day-Based Flow

Each game day has phases: Morning Standup, Work, Launch (every 3 days), and Review. The system guides you through each phase.

Work Cards, Not Dice

Draw narrative work cards that determine your daily capacity. "Team synergy!" gives 5 points. "Infrastructure issues" gives 1. Allocate wisely.

WIP Limits That Matter

Set your own limits on work-in-progress. The system enforces them. Too high? Watch your flow collapse. Too low? You'll learn patience.

Financial Reality

Your startup burns cash daily. Revenue comes only from launched features. Delay costs money. Every decision has a financial consequence.

Smart Events

The Game Master triggers events based on your behavior: high WIP attracts blockers, good flow earns bonuses, market shifts test adaptability.

Cycle Time Tracking

The key metric. How long does work take from "Ready" to "Launched"? Lower is better. The board tells the story.

What Your Team Learns

Flow over busyness: finishing matters more than starting
WIP limits: the counterintuitive key to speed
Cycle time: the metric that reveals everything
Cost of delay: why launching early creates value
Adaptability: responding to change over following a plan
Sustainable pace: why heroics don't scale
Stakeholder management: deliver what matters
Technical debt: shortcuts have compound interest

Flexible Formats

Fully Remote

Teams play from anywhere. The system manages everything , no facilitator needed for basic sessions.

Hybrid

Some tables in-person, some remote. All synchronized through the platform.

In-Person Workshop

Multiple tables in one room, each with their own board. Perfect for training events and offsites.

Data-Driven Insights

Every player action is tracked. After the game, managers receive comprehensive reports: per-player competency scores, table comparison analytics, cycle time charts, and financial trajectory data. Real metrics from simulated decisions.

AI-Powered Customization

Use AI to generate custom story themes, task cards, and events tailored to your industry. FinTech? Healthcare? E-commerce? The game adapts to your world.

Customized for Your Organization

While AgileOps has a standard framework, we customize scenarios, event cards, and metrics to your organization. Your industry, your challenges, your KPIs.

AgileOps FAQ

How long is a session?

45-90 minutes depending on configuration. Short sessions (7 game days) for lunch-and-learns, full sessions (13 game days) for deep training workshops.

How many people can play?

2-40 players across 1-10 tables (2-4 players per table). Each table plays independently but faces the same scenario. Perfect for comparing team approaches.

Do we need a facilitator?

The Smart Game Master handles game flow, rules enforcement, and narrative. In the lobby, solo players can start when ready; teams wait for the facilitator to start. For deeper learning, a facilitator can use the manager dashboard to guide discussion and trigger custom events.

Can we customize the content?

Yes. Managers can use AI to generate industry-specific tasks, events, and story themes. Or use the default NovaMind AI startup scenario.

What data do managers get?

Per-player reports with agile competency scores, per-table analytics with cycle time and financial data, and a room-wide comparison report. All exportable as CSV or JSON.
